Job summary

Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed is seeking swim school instructors to teach learn-to-swim classes across multiple sites in the St. Louis area. Positions offer year-round opportunities with shifts in the evenings and on weekends.

Training is provided; prior experience is not required. Pay is $15 per hour and duties include safety, progress updates, and parent communication. As a member of the Community Ed team, you will work with kids and adults, maintain site safety, and coordinate with pool

Qualifications

• Instruct swimmers by skill level and provide progress updates.
• Maintain safety and communicate with site supervisor.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Training provided; no prior swimming teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimmers in their appropriate skill level.
• Communicate with parents regarding swimmer progress.
• Ensure safety of swimmers being instructed.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the swim school site supervisor.
• Inform site supervisor of pool maintenance or safety issues related to the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
