Job summary

In-Shape Health Club is seeking a Swim Programming Coordinator to develop, plan, organize and direct scheduled swim lesson programming. You will monitor quality, profitability, and budget compliance to ensure standards are met.

This role involves scheduling all swim lessons, backing filling as needed, possibly lifeguarding and teaching private/group sessions, and maintaining participant relationships while managing equipment and admin tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Lifeguard and CPR certifications required or within 60 days of hire.
• Experience supervising swim lesson programming.
• Ability to swim 100 meters freestyle, breaststroke, back and butterfly.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for swim programming and hold instructors accountable.
• Retain participants by listening to member needs and acting on feedback.
• Plan, schedule, and execute all swim lessons and backfill as needed.
• May lifeguard and teach private and/or group swim lessons.
• Create and maintain relationships with current and future participants.
• Maintain swim program equipment and report issues to club leadership.
• Provide administrative support for swim lesson programming.
• Act as the In-Shape local community liaison.
• Distribute, collect, and tabulate end-of-session surveys.
• Review Daily KPIs and identify trends to improve.
• Work within budgets and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
• Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, well-run club.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ensure policies comply with OSHA regulations.
• Lead and model In-Shape core values – Deliver, Impact, and Inspire.
