Job summary

Atlanta Swim Academy is seeking a Deckhand for our Learn-To-Swim program. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and exceptional customer service as you oversee in-water and out-of-water operations and liaise with parents, instructors, and supervision staff.

Paid training provided, with full-time benefits including health insurance and time‑off. The position requires a weekend commitment and strong communication skills to ensure high-quality lessons and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Swim background preferred; LG and WSI certification will be provided internally
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Confident leadership abilities
• Positive customer service skills
• Weekend commitment on Saturdays or Sundays

Responsibilities

• Teaching and coaching all levels of our Swim Lesson program
• Supervising pools and other areas to ensure safety and progress
• Monitoring instructors and classes
• Working closely with Swim Program Manager
• Communicating with parents and children in a positive and encouraging manner
• Instructing shift meetings with staff as needed
• Administering reports and paperwork as needed
• Maintaining 100% customer satisfaction
