Atlanta Swim Academy in Marietta, GA is hiring an Assistant Swim Instructor/Swim Coach to empower students of all ages to swim safely and confidently. You’ll lead small groups, deliver progressive instruction, and help build strong foundational skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of swimming skills and mechanics.
• Excellent communication with children and adults.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Ability to lead and motivate.
• Available to work at least one 4-hour shift either Sat. or Sun.
• Active Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups (4-5) of swimmers through progressively challenging skills.
• In-water instruction and coaching for all ages and abilities.
• Plan and organize class time with lesson plans.
• Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain consistency by working each assigned lesson.
• Communicate progress with parents and swimmers.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Enforce facility policies and safety rules.
• Cover all material required in a level.

Swim Instructors are the core of Atlanta Swim Academy’s learn to swim program. They teach age- and ability-appropriate progressive skills to swimmers—from basic swimming skills for young swimmers to competition-specific training for advanced swimmers.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Lead small groups (4-5) of swimmers through a series of progressively challenging swim skills.
• In-water instruction and coaching for all age groups and skill levels.
• Plan and effectively organize class time through lesson plans.
• Teach and lead with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Provide for consistency in instruction by working each assigned lesson.
• Communicate with parents and swimmers on progress towards goals.
• Complete any necessary paperwork and reports.
• Enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations.
• Cover all material required in a level.

Qualifications and Skills
