Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Swim Lesson Lead to oversee safe, high-quality swim lesson programs, supervise instructors on deck, and ensure consistency of curriculum. You will coordinate private lesson scheduling, assist with registrations in Daxko, and maintain clear progress notes for each child.

You will build strong relationships with families, provide coaching and feedback, support onboarding, and communicate timely updates to Aquatics leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction experience required; experience leading or coaching instructors preferred.
• Current YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Current CPR, AED, First Aid, and other YMCA certifications required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide active on-deck supervision for group and private swim lessons.
• Coach instructors and ensure curriculum consistency during and after lessons.
• Support onboarding of new instructors and scheduling of lesson blocks.
• Assist with registrations, waitlists, and lesson records in Daxko.
• Communicate progress updates to families and Aquatics leadership.
