The YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN HUNTSVILLE is seeking a Swim Instructor to provide high-quality aquatic instruction and promote a safe environment. Qualifications

• Willingness to carry out the mission of the YMCA and its programs.
• Ability to maintain personal certifications required for the position.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines.
• Build effective relationships with students and parents.
• Maintain records of attendance and progress reports.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to react calmly in emergencies

Demonstrated swim instructor skills

Education

Must be at least 16 years old

CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification

AED certification

Basic First Aid certification

Emergency Oxygen certification
