Job summary

The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Coordinator to supervise, implement and coordinate our swim lesson programs. Evening and weekend availability is required, with a pay range of $17-$19 per hour.

Responsibilities include leading aquatics staff, training, and ensuring a clean facility, while remaining flexible to fill in as needed. CPR/First Aid/AED, lifeguard certifications, and Oxygen Administration certification are required or pursued within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in an aquatics department.
• Lifeguarding experience required.
• Lead lifeguards through in-service scenarios.
• Degree in wellness or related field preferred.
• Proficient with computer and MS Office.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications current.
• YMCA/American Red Cross Lifeguard certs current or Ellis cert.
• Oxygen Administration certification within 30 days of hire.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing leadership to aquatics staff.
• Manage and train staff and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Coordinate swim lesson programs and supervise coordinators.
• Available to work up to 25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Direct service and fill in as needed.
