Responsibilities

• Instruct group or individual swim lessons according to YMCA guidelines, with prepared lesson plans.
• Build authentic relationships with students and parents; connect them to the YMCA.
• Encourage parent involvement and identify potential volunteers.
• Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and refers students/parents to other programs as appropriate.
• Maintains attendance and progress records.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Follow YMCA policies, safety procedures; complete incident/accident reports as necessary.
• Organize and store class equipment; report damaged equipment.
• Train and supervise class aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
