YMCA Swim Instructor position involves teaching proper stroke technique and water safety under supervision, aligned with the YMCA mission. You will engage members, support staff, and ensure a high-quality program experience.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, tracking student progress, and maintaining certificates. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualificações

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding/YMCA Lifeguarding preferred; cross-cert within six months of hire.
• Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Lesson preferred; cross-cert within six months of hire.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 certification.
• Complete trainings: NEO, Bloodborne Pathogens, CAP, and Sexual Harassment on hire and annually.
• Criminal background check and Child Protective Services check required and satisfactory.

Responsabilidades

• Support the YMCA mission and goals.
• Model professional conduct and YMCA values (caring, honesty, respect, responsibility).
• Lead in programs that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Teach swim lessons to assigned group for scheduled sessions with no absences.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are ready before class.
• Maintain skills checklists for each student and track progress.
