Valley Health is seeking a Part-time Swim Instructor on a Per Diem basis at the Hampshire Wellness Center in Romney, WV. The role focuses on delivering safe, age-appropriate swim instruction and promoting aquatic safety to members and guests.

Responsibilities include planning structured lessons, serving as a lifeguard when needed, and representing the facility in the community. Prior related healthcare experience and ARC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of related experience in healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
• Lifeguard certification by American Red Cross within 30 days of hire; ARC Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and educational aquatic environment for all swim lesson participants.
• Plan effective, organized, and consistent instruction tailored to each participant's needs and skill level.
• Act as a lifeguard and support other pool activities as needed within the center.

Provide competent, safe instruction using recognized lead up skills as established by professional and national aquatic agencies. Plan effective, organized, and consistent instruction for participants that is tailored to their needs and skill ability. Act as a champion for the facility within the community by marketing skills and lessons.
