Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics Team. You’ll teach swim lessons to children and adults, promote water safety, and help swimmers build confidence in a welcoming, inclusive environment. New to teaching?

We provide paid training, shadowing, mentorship, and ongoing coaching. Must be at least 16 years old with current Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred – or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred – or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults of various ages and abilities.
• Lead engaging group and private lessons using the YMCA Swim Curriculum.
• Promote water safety and help swimmers build confidence.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Celebrate progress and help every swimmer reach their goals.
