Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join the Aquatics Team at our West Hartford site in Connecticut. This part-time role (10-15 hours per week) offers an opportunity to help swimmers build confidence and safety in the water while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Instructors will provide effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children in private or small-group settings, tailoring programs to individual goals and abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/AED/First Aid certification from recognized authority.
• Strong swimming background with proficiency in all strokes.
• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Pre-employment drug test required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children.
• Design individualized programs based on participant interests, abilities and goals.

Responsible for providing effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children participating in private or small group lessons. Design individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Adult & Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Must have a strong swim background.
• Proficiency in all swim strokes.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $16 - $17.75/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
