Job summary

Swimtastic Swim School Omaha NW is seeking energetic swim instructors to teach kids using our positive curriculum. Training is provided; prior instruction is helpful but not required. Hours are 10-30 hours per week with shifts Monday through Sunday, am and pm.

We offer flexible schedules, employee discounts, and free swim lessons for your child. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction experience preferred, but not required.
• Must love kids and be reliable while able to swim.
• Willing to certify in CPR/First Aid for adults, swimmers and infants.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills using Swimtastic curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive feedback to students.
• Structure class time with repetition and reinforcement.
• Maintain equipment and keep accurate class start times.
• Give monthly, individualized feedback during Splash 'N Tell.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Swimtastic® curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
• Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
• Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash 'N Tell week.

Position Qualifications And Requirements

• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred, but not required. Loving kids and being reliable with the ability to swim is an absolute necessity!
• Willing to certify in CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infants
• Training in the Swimtastic® curriculum will be provided - just bring joy!

Compensation: $15.00- $19.00 per hour (varies based on experience)
