Job summary

Swimtastic Omaha SW is seeking a friendly Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills to children at our Omaha location. The role emphasizes a fun, safety‑minded approach and aligning with Swimtastic curriculum to help kids gain confidence in the water.

Open 10–20 hours per week with varied day shifts. Previous teaching experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate and cover CPR/First Aid certification as needed. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior swim instruction experience is preferred but not required.
• Must love kids and be reliable with the ability to swim.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills per Swimtastic curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide ongoing, positive feedback to students and customers.
• Structure class time to reinforce skills.
• Maintain equipment and keep classes on schedule.
• Provide monthly, individualized feedback during Splash ’N Tell.

We are actively recruiting individuals we can train to become the best Swim Instructors in the industry. Hours: 10-20 hours per week Days: Varies; Open Monday through Sunday - both am and pm shifts available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Swimtastic® curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
• Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
• Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred, but not required. Loving kids and being reliable with the ability to swim is an absolute necessity!
• Willing to certify in CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infants
• Training in the Swimtastic® curriculum will be provided - just bring joy!

Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour (varies based on experience)
