Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach water safety and the school curriculum to students, delivering engaging lessons in a safe pool environment.

You will monitor student progress, interact with families, and uphold brand standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; two+ years as an instructor and lifeguard/CPR certifications are required. Flexible shifts and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; two+ years as a swimming instructor required.
• Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforce safety rules and perform rescues/first aid when needed.
• Evaluate progress and complete required paperwork.
• Interact with parents/guardians on student development.
• Act as a GSS ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction.
• Inspect pool areas before/after class for maintenance, cleanliness or damage; report issues.
• Maintain and store pool equipment; place/remove lane lines.
• Report accidents and incidents to management; complete required documentation.
• Perform Deck Teacher duties as needed.
• Perform light cleaning duties (e.g., window washing, deck mopping, trash removal) occasionally.
• Attend required workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Employer.
