Job summary

Logan Health Medical Fitness Center is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach group and private lessons in our growing aquatic program. You’ll help children and families build confidence and lifelong swimming skills using our established progressions and a safety-first approach.

Ideal candidates are 16+, patient, and excellent communicators who can manage classes and adapt lessons to each swimmer’s abilities. PRN hours offer flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates are at least 16 years old and enthusiastic about teaching.
• Able to communicate with children, adults and parents and manage classes confidently.
• Willing to learn and use basic computer programs (Office, scheduling tools).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality swim instruction using established progressions and methods.
• Create a safe, encouraging learning environment for swimmers of all ages.
• Use show, tell, and do techniques to teach skills and stroke development.
• Adapt lessons to each swimmer’s abilities and goals using clear language.
• Prepare engaging lessons to keep students progressing and excited to return.
• Maintain a clean and organized pool deck.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency action plan and perform lifesaving duties if needed.
• Work independently and as part of the aquatic team.
