Job summary

Exos Partners, LLC seeks a part-time Swim Instructor in Tampa, FL to teach varied levels and age groups following site guidelines. You will plan lessons, demonstrate skills, and assess progress to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, attending trainings, and communicating progress to students or parents. Certification requirements and a passion for teaching swimming are essential.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach various levels and age groups in accordance with the site's instructional guidelines.
• Plan lessons, select appropriate drills, and evaluate the student’s progress.
• Present proper demonstrations and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices.
• Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment.
• Attend all in-service trainings; maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates.
• Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels.
• Effectively communicate each student’s progress to the student or to the student’s parents where appropriate.
• Explain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons.
• Other tasks as assigned.
