Job summary

Emler Swim & Gym in Madison, WI is seeking a passionate swim instructor to teach life-saving water safety and to create a fun, supportive environment for children from 6 months to 12 years. You will train under an experienced mentor and lead weekly lessons, building positive relationships with students and their families.

Set evening and weekend shifts, engage in an active, poolside role, and enjoy growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, bonuses, and benefits as you develop teaching skills

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of formal workplace experience with children
• 2 years leading or training others in a structured team setting
• Must love working with kids and bringing positive energy
• Reliable, safety-minded, and professional with great communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule
• Comfortable in the water and active on your feet
• Previous teaching or swim experience a plus, but not required — training provided

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

• Minimum 1-2 years of formal workplace experience with children, including infants, in a customer-facing role
• At least 1-2 years of experience leading or training others in a structured team setting
• Must love working with kids and bringing positive energy
• Reliable, safety-minded, and professional with great communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule
• Comfortable in the water and active on your feet
• Previous teaching or swim experience a plus, but not required - we provide paid training!

Pay Range

USD $18.90 - USD $23.63 /Hr.
