Job summary

YMCA of the Roses in York is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach essential water safety and swimming skills to participants of all ages. You will lead group and private lessons in a safe, supportive environment while helping swimmers build confidence and develop lifelong skills in the water.

Evening shifts and Saturday mornings are available. This position emphasizes making a positive community impact and fostering a love of swimming.

Qualifications

• CPR Pro and First Aid certification required or obtainable.
• State police clearance, a child abuse clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Mandated Reporter Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons as assigned following YMCA guidelines and provided lesson plans.
• Build positive relationships with participants and caregivers, supporting goals.
• Relay progress and program information to parents in a friendly, informative manner.
