Position Overview

Atlanta Swim Academy is rapidly expanding and seeks Swim Instructors to start immediately. Make a difference by helping students of all ages learn water safety. Gain leadership, communication, and group management skills in a fun, family-oriented environment. Swim Instructors are essential to our learn-to-swim program, teaching age- and ability-appropriate skills, from basic swimming to advanced training.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead small groups (1-4 swimmers) through progressive swim skills.
• Plan and organize lessons effectively.
• Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain consistency in instruction.
• Communicate progress to parents and swimmers.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Enforce facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Cover all required material in each level.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge of swimming skills and mechanics.
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Ability to lead and motivate.
• Availability for at least one 4-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday.
• Certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR, and First Aid (training available post-hire; active certification preferred).
