Description

As a FOSS Swim Instructor (actual title is Swim Teacher), you will make memorable moments for children of all ages by teaching life-swim skills in a fun, splashy, and safe environment.

Have a passion for water? Come share your love of swimming with your community. FOSS provides training to confidently teach our curriculum. This position allows you to lead students in a structured, yet fun water environment to develop skills that promote confidence and safety around water.

Our Learn to Swim program offers the opportunity to instruct a variety of ages and skill levels, making swimming a safe and enjoyable sport. Bring your ability to improvise, play, and connect, because laughter is an important part of our teaching method.

Job Type: Part-time (minimum 12 hours/week)

Shift Type: 3 to 5-hour shifts, including weekday evenings and weekends with additional pay for weekend and substitute shifts.

Main Responsibilities as a Swim Teacher

• Manage classes of 1-4 students, teach swim skills following curriculum, promote safety, and teach life skills.
• Create a safe, engaging, and educational experience.
• Build relationships with students’ parents or guardians.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Comfortable working in a pool setting.
• Work at least 12 hours per week.

• Aquatic background is a plus but not required.
