Job summary

Westfield Area YMCA is seeking reliable Swim Instructors to join our aquatics team. Part-time shifts available across all days, with competitive pay and a supportive, inclusive work environment.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and hold the YMCA Swim Instructor Certification with BLS, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications. Safety, communication, and a positive member experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• YMCA Swim Instructor Certification with BLS, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications required.
• Ability to maintain a safe pool and communicate effectively with participants and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliability in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming classes safely, adjusting level to participants’ abilities.
• Provide feedback and document evaluations for participants and guardians.

The Westfield Area YMCA is looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our growing Aquatics team! We offer a fun, positive and inclusive work environment.

The primary duties of a Swim Instructor include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting all classes in a safe manner taking into consideration the level of class that is being taught and the participants' abilities
• Ensuring proper feedback and evaluations are being recorded and communicated to participant and parent/guardian

Hours

Various part-time shifts available all days of the week. Flexible schedules available.

Pay Range

Minor: $16.00-$17.00, based on certifications and experience

Adult: $16.25-$22.00, based on certifications and experience
