The Powhatan YMCA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. This position starts at $14.00 per hour.
Swim instructors should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. They should be able to work various shifts with different age groups. Using diverse tools and teaching techniques, instructors will work with small groups to teach swimming skills, water safety, and uphold YMCA core values.
Must have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Certifications like YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, Ellis, or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor (WSI) are preferred but not required. Certification can be provided if needed.
