Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to teach swimming to both adults and children, evaluate levels, and maintain a clean pool area.

You will promote Aquatics programs, respond to member inquiries, and support a safe, organized environment within the Aquatics Facilities. Certification requirements include StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid, with bridge options as needed.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs.
• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.
