Job summary

Life Time Inc. seeks an Aquatics Swim Instructor in Alpharetta, GA. You will teach swimming to adults and children, evaluate levels, and help maintain the Aquatics facilities to ensure safety and enjoyment. The role supports members with life skills and swim progression in a fast-paced club environment.

You will be responsible for delivering lessons, responding to questions, and promoting Aquatics programs while maintaining a clean, safe pool area and upholding Life Time standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to work stationary and move around the club for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Able to bend to lift up to 20 lbs; occasionally lift more than 20 lbs.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
