Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to coach adults and children, teach life skills, and evaluate swim levels while maintaining a clean, safe pool environment.

You will instruct lessons, respond to member inquiries, promote Aquatics programs, and ensure safety and order across facilities. Must be pursuing HS diploma and obtain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
• Able to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Able to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Able to bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally more than 20 lbs.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:
