General Requirements: ● Must have reliable transportation. ● Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety, and learning ● Treat every student fairly and equally regardless of circumstances and abilities, making each feel good about themselves and encouraging a fun environment. ● Arrive with ample time to report to position at the scheduled time. ● Be responsible and fulfill your commitments to scheduled shifts. ● Ensure the safety of swim lesson students at all times. ● Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. ● Evaluates students progress, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner. ● Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills. Acts as a GFSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction. ● Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter. ● Inspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Reports issues to management as appropriate. ● Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment. Places and removes lane lines. ● Performs light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion. ● Attend required/mandatory training, workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours. ● Assume other responsibilities as given by a supervisor. Willingness to cross train as needed
