Job summary

Aquatica Academy in the Stroudsburg area is seeking experienced swim instructors with at least 3 years of instruction to teach our students how to swim. Instructors will teach semi-private and private classes, with most students between 3 and 10 years old, and classes scheduled Mon–Thu 4–8pm and Sun 11–6pm.

Position is a year-round 1099 contract with pay of $32.50/hour in regular blocks and $37.50/hour when substituting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of swim instruction experience.
• Background check required; bring photo ID, SS card and certifications.
• CPR/AED and First Aid must be up to date.

Job description

Aquatica Academy is looking for experienced swim instructors with at least 3 years of instruction experience to teach our students how to swim in the Stroudsburg area. Instructors with strong backgrounds and reliable attendance will be offered one to four permanent 4 hour instruction blocks a week with a possibility of 20 hours a week. We also have spots open for substitute instructors.

• Most students are between 3 and 10 years old.
• All training equipment is provided. Additional gear provided upon your request.
• Holidays and snow days are paid when they fall on your regular work schedule.
• Pay scale is $32.50 / hour 1099 with set hours. Pay is not affected by students attendance or class size.
• Pay scale is $37.50 / hour 1099 when substituting.
• Class hours are Mondays – Thursdays 4-8pm and Sundays 11-6pm.
• Rolling schedule for students means you get to develop and stay with your students as they advance levels (no session‑style schedules).
• Year‑round position (not seasonal).
• We do a standard background check. Copy of your photo ID, SS card and certifications are required. CPR/AED and First Aid must be brought up to date if not already.
