Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to help adults and children improve their swimming, teach life skills to younger members, and evaluate progression to appropriate swim levels. You will help maintain the cleanliness and order of the Aquatics Facilities and assist with program promotion.

The role emphasizes safety, high-quality instruction, and positive guest interactions in a fast-paced club environment, with opportunities to grow within the Life Time Aquatics program.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Complete Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications current or in bridge to StarGuard.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events.
• Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
• Provide a safe, clean and organized pool area.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
