Job summary

Henrico County Public Schools is seeking an assistant coach at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen. This hourly/temporary role supports the head coach in organizing the athletics program, supervising athletes, and coordinating fundraising efforts for the team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a public-school athletic program.
• Proven ability to coordinate high-level practice sessions.
• Prior experience in preparing athletes for interscholastic competitions.
• Prior experience in managing team fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in the organization of the overall program.
• Assist in the supervision of student-athletes during daily practices and at games.
• Prepares players both physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through practice, teaching of fundamental skills, and knowledge of rules.
• Assists in the cleaning, storage, and proper care of all team equipment.
• Attends all required VHSL clinics.
• Regular attendance is required.
