Job summary

The YMCA of Central Texas in Round Rock is seeking a Swim Coach to instruct and coordinate youth programs, including Jr. Waves. The role emphasizes safety, wellness, and YMCA core values within a supportive youth environment.

Responsibilities include travel to CTX locations for events, record keeping, developing workouts, and ensuring certifications. A $260 new-staff bonus and free family membership are offered along with weekend scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification.
• Minimum 1 year coaching experience, assistant teaching, or YSL stroke mechanics.
• Experience utilizing a pace clock and writing workouts.
• 1-2 years competitive swimming experience.
• ASCA Level 1-2 Certification or 3 years coaching/training experience.
• Member of ASCA preferred.
• Be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender check.

The CHASCO YMCA in Round Rock is seeking a Swim Coach to instruct, direct and coordinate youth swim programs, including Jr. Waves which is a swim team prep class.

We are offering a $260 bonus for new staff, and free family membership to the YMCA of Central Texas!

This position requires a vigilant, safety minded person to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Schedule Needed: Saturday 9:15am-12:30pm, some additional weekend hours are needed throughout the year for swim events
