Job summary

Join the CHASCO Family YMCA as a year-round part-time ChildWatch team member in Round Rock, TX. You’ll care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years, engaging them in safe activities and modeling YMCA values.

This role requires excellent communication, reliability and a positive, energetic attitude across flexible shifts including weekends. Ideal candidates are 17+, with a high school diploma (GED accepted), and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED preferred.
• Pass reference checks, criminal history, Sex Offender Registry, and pre-employment drug screen.
• Stand on feet during shift; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work in a busy environment with strong customer service.
• CPR/First Aid & Safety certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 17 years old; 12 months of childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years.
• Supervise activities and maintain a friendly, safe environment.
• Communicate with parents about progress and incidents as needed.

Want to make a positive difference in the lives of children? Join our dynamic ChildWatch team at the CHASCO Family YMCA!

Looking for caring, fun loving, energetic and creative individual who enjoys working with children. The ideal candidate needs to be a good communicator, problem solver, and be able to engage with children. Serving kids from ages 6 weeks -13 years old.

This is a year-round Part-Time position. Monday- Friday 8:00am- 12:00pm, as well as weekend shifts Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm, Sundays 1:00pm-4:00pm . Must be flexible to work during school breaks.

We are offering $260 bonus for new staff!

Skills / Requirements:

• High school Diploma/GED preferred
• Must be able to pass reference checks, criminal history background check, Sex Offender Registry check, and pre-employment drug screen prior to hiring
• Must be able to be on your feet the entire length of your shift; lift up to 40lbs
• Must be able to handle a busy environment
• Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must be certified in CPR/First Aid & Safety within the first 30 days of employment
• Be at least 17 years of age
• 12 months experience working with children (preferred)
• Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, possess a cooperative attitude, and be a team player
• Be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, on weekends, and evenings
• Have strong communication and organizational skills
• Have a neat appearance and be well-groomed
• Be CPR/AED and First Aid certified or willing to be certified within first 30 days of employment
• Be willing to uphold the YMCAs core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal history, sex offender and reference checks

Pay Rate: $13.00 to $15.00/hour
