Job summary

KnitWell Group in Times Square Tower, New York, NY seeks an Assistant Designer to support the Designer with the execution of seasonal collections, fabrics and colors that maintain the Ann Taylor brand identity. The role involves preparing line reviews, boards, and sketches while embracing diversity and collaboration across teams.

You will participate in fittings, maintain design archives, and contribute to eo-line presentations, line assortment, and color stories, working closely with vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent.
• Experience with knits/sweaters preferred and a strong fashion sense.
• Solid sketching and illustration ability; keen color trend sense.
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of seasonal collections, fabrics and colors.
• Prepare line review materials, concept boards, fabric and color boards, flat sketches.
• Attend fittings and provide input; maintain design archives and logs.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to build cohesive lines.
