Job summary

Cella is seeking a creative Apparel and Product Development Designer for a 1-year contract in Framingham, MA. You will drive trend concepts, color palettes, and technically precise artwork for adult sweaters, collaborating with internal teams and overseas vendors.

The role requires a design degree with 3+ years in apparel product development, strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills, and a robust portfolio. Hybrid work entails 2 onsite days weekly in Framingham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in product development for apparel, preferably sweaters.
• Ability to sketch and fill technical flats and create full-size layouts in Illustrator.
• Strong aesthetic sense and portfolio.
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Portfolio link or samples required.

Responsibilities

• Support Product Development from concept meetings through artwork execution and prototype development.
• Design and execute technically accurate artwork and boards using pencil, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Select seasonal color palettes based on trends and analysis.
• Create layouts in Illustrator with call-outs and flats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors.
• Manage multiple design projects and anticipate obstacles.
