Job summary

Rapport International in Nebraska is seeking qualified interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local clients. This PRN opportunity offers flexible hours and a chance to make a difference in the community as an independent contractor, with transportation required to attend appointments.

Please note vaccination proof may be requested by clients, and some languages may have variable availability.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients.
• Support non-English speakers during appointments and assist with culturally appropriate communication.
• Use the online portal and portal-related tasks as required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.

As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients.
