Job summary

Rapport International invites qualified interpreters to join our team for in-person interpretation in the Omaha area of Nebraska. This independent contractor role offers flexible hours and PRN scheduling, with work based on client needs and availability.

Must be fully bilingual, have reliable transportation, and be comfortable with medical terminology and confidentiality. We are seeking interpreters who can attend appointments locally, complete portal tasks, and provide accurate interpretation

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual with strong listening and speaking skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience in interpreting preferred; independent contractor setup.
• Must have transportation to attend local appointments and access to a printer.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients (Omaha area).
• Participate as an independent contractor with flexible, PRN hours.
• Adhere to confidentiality, vaccination proof requirements, and client HIPAA policies.

Looking for Qualified Interpreters! As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.

Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.
