Job summary

Kimble Companies is hiring a Swab Rig Operator to maintain or increase production at oil and gas wells by removing fluids and materials. The role requires operating swabbing equipment, driving to sites, and performing safety-compliant tasks in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Has valid Class A CDL preferred.
• Able to operate a truck with manual transmission.
• At least 23 years old.
• Minimum of 3 years CDL truck driving experience.
• Experience operating a service rig preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to climb and work at heights.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
• Able to lift in excess of 75 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate swabbing equipment to remove fluids from wellbores.
• Monitor and maintain the swabbing unit operation.
• Assist with installation and removal of swabbing units as needed.
• Collect and document data related to the well/location and equipment performance.
• Drive to and from various work locations.
• Load and off-load materials from truck to rig.
• Perform routine maintenance of the rig and equipment.
• Operate company vehicles safely per OSHA/DOT and Kimble policies.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Navigate residential and commercial areas safely, report incidents to supervisors.

The Swab Rig Operator will be maintaining or increasing the production of a gas or oil well by removing fluids and materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a service rig

• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle records check
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate swabbing equipment to remove fluids from wellbores
• Monitor and maintain the operation of the swabbing unit
• Assist with the installation and removal of swabbing units as needed
• Collect and document data related to the well/location and equipment performance
• Drive to and from various work locations
• Pick up and lay down lubricator
• Load and off-load materials from the truck to the rig
• Routine maintenance of assigned rig and equipment
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements, all local, state and federal laws and Kimble policies.
• Perform pre-and post-trip inspection of the vehicle, and document/report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors.
• Safely maneuver vehicle in residential and commercial environments and navigate high traffic areas.
• Immediately notifies Supervisor of accidents, injuries, or property damage
• Maintains and updates route sheets and driver logs
• Attend scheduled safety meetings, information sessions, and trainings.
