Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Job Summary

A Signworks Production Supervisor reports to the Director of Signworks Manufacturing. This position requires proficiency in technical and computer disciplines, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, packaging, and shipping. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to handle various shop floor concerns and maintain availability across different hours.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and organize shop resources for daily operations.
  2. Ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with specifications in production.
  3. Model dependable and positive leadership for team members.
  4. Support team growth through motivation and recognition.
  5. Participate in hiring and onboarding new employees.
  6. Manage time and attendance records for direct reports.
  7. Provide coaching and corrective feedback as needed.
  8. Lead improvement projects and support staff initiatives.
  9. Represent Signworks in discussions on manufacturing capabilities and product design improvements.
  10. Coordinate with management and HR regarding Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions.
  11. Assist technicians with troubleshooting and equipment issues.
  12. Attend relevant training and stay updated on industry standards.
  13. Perform physical duties such as standing, walking, lifting, and safety reviews.
  14. Ensure preventive maintenance is completed correctly.
  15. Lead during periods of change, including training and team preparation.
  16. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and typing; strong reasoning skills.
  2. Experience presenting in small group settings.
  3. Advanced computer skills (e.g., Infor, Salesforce, Excel, Word, Teams).
  4. Completion of OSHA 30-hour training or ability to complete within 3 months.
  5. Leadership and development experience preferred.
  6. Experience in maintenance, programming, purchasing, or safety preferred.
  7. Valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles.
Education and Licensing
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree, or 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7 years in related fields such as production or manufacturing.
