SAIC is hiring a Software Developer in Pensacola, FL to support NETC Training & Education Management Systems and DoD programs. You will work with AWS-based services, Oracle databases, and a mix of Java, C#, JavaScript, and PL/SQL to fix legacy code and build new features.
You will develop unit tests, assist with deployments, and ensure security and compliance per DoD SDLC standards. A Secret security clearance is required or can be waived for strong candidates.

SAIC is hiring aSoftware Developerlocated inPensacola, FL. This position will be supporting Training & Education Management Systems for Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). The role will support our Programs of Record; Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS) for both schoolhouse & corporate, Navy & Joint MyEducation (MyED), Naval Education and Training Future Officer and Citizenship User System (NETFOCUS), Navy Inspector General Hotline Tracking System (NIGHTS), Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS), Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM), and Learning Assessment System (LAS).
The Software Developer will require:
High-quality software engineering advisory services, software systems planning, integration, and architecture support.
Comprehensive support, maintenance, and enhancement of software using a technology stack that includes AWS technologies, PL/SQL, Java, Visual Studio/C#, JavaScript, Oracle databases.
Create and maintain database objects (tables, views, triggers, functions, procedures, packages, etc.)
Follows and ensures the system is maintained in accordance with all DoD standards.
Qualifications
Required experience, certification, and education:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or any of the 40+ other accepted degrees identified at cyber.mil that are from an ABET accredited or NCAE-C designated institution
Required skills:
Hands-on experience with software development in Visual Studio/C# and JavaScript/JQuery – or – Java – or – PL/SQL.
Cloud-based development experience, preferably in AWS GovCloud.
Proficiency in SQL.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Additional Desired Certifications:
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
Clearance required:
Must have a Secret security clearance. Requirement may be waived by the customer to an Interim Secret for strong candidates.
Desired skills:
Experience in DevSecOps best practices, software development life cycles, automation toolchains and CI/CD pipeline.
Experience with building and working with container images.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
