Job summary

The Vermont Senior Lender role at The Business Bank is based in Burlington, VT, with hybrid remote work options. You will own the Vermont loan and deposit portfolio, build a high-performing team, and shape a credit-disciplined culture as the bank scales beyond $300M to $1B+ in assets.

You will lead deal screening, loan approvals within policy limits, and market-facing growth initiatives while maintaining strong client relationships and community involvement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial lending experience.
• Solid credit skills across C&I, CRE, and construction lending.
• Strong leadership, business development, and relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Originate, underwrite, and close C&I, CRE, construction, and other business loans.
• Develop deposit relationships and promote bank services.
• Lead Vermont RMs/PMs and ensure credit discipline and growth targets.
• Analyze loan applications and coordinate processing to ensure timely disbursements.
