JCW is recruiting on behalf of a leading E&S carrier to hire an SVP, Products Liability Underwriter. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing platform and play a key role in building and scaling a specialized underwriting division, with strong visibility to senior leadership and the ability to make a meaningful impact on strategy, profitability, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Products Liability & Contractors underwriting division, owning strategy, profitability, and portfolio performance
• Develop underwriting guidelines, pricing, coverage forms, and drive disciplined growth across E&S risks
• Build and manage wholesale broker relationships while driving business development and market presence
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing underwriting team while partnering cross-functionally with operations, tech, and reinsurance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience inProducts Liability & Contractors (GL/PCO)underwriting within the E&S market
• Strong track record of building profitable books of business and developing broker relationships
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader with excellent communication skills; CPCU or similar designation preferred
