Job summary

Vitalief has partnered with a leading multi-site New Jersey health system to identify a visionary Senior Vice President (SVP) of Research to lead this transformation. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this leader will oversee system-wide research initiatives and grow a diverse portfolio of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials across therapeutic areas beyond oncology.

The role is primarily remote with up to 25% travel to New Jersey locations, regular on-site executive

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required; PhD strongly preferred, MD/DO/PharmD will be considered.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive executive leadership in clinical research.
• Experience leading research across multi-site health systems or academic centers.
• Proven track record expanding industry-sponsored clinical trials across therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for research across the health system.
• Assess and optimize research infrastructure for a world-class program.
• Lead expansion of the clinical research enterprise with cross-therapy focus.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality across trials and sites.
• Build partnerships with Academic Medical Centers and industry sponsors.
• Provide executive oversight of research operations, budgeting, and metrics.
