Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. seeks an experienced risk leader to join the BXCI Enterprise Risk team in a senior capacity.

You will oversee non‑investment risks across investment platforms, collaborate with portfolio managers, finance, legal, and technology groups, and drive governance improvements. The role emphasizes strategic risk oversight, program management, and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, multi‑strategy environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise risk, portfolio risk, or related fields in large asset managers or banks.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of non-investment risks across platforms.
• Assess operational, financing, model, technology, and third-party risks.
• Partner with leaders to improve risk governance and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional risk initiatives and project delivery.
• Conduct risk assessments across operations, treasury, legal, compliance, finance, tech, cybersecurity, and valuation.
• Shape risk strategy and governance for growing businesses.
• Monitor emerging risks related to market structure and regulation.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management and committees.
