Job description

Dig Insights unites strategy, human understanding, and technology to help brands move decisively, in a world that won’t wait. We work with insights and marketing professionals at some of the world’s most well-loved brands, powering their brand and innovation decision-making. Dig One is our agile technology platform, used by our people and our clients, to deliver smarter and faster decisions.

Our clients span verticals including CPG, QSR, retail, technology, financial services, and telecommunications. Our work is led by a team of over 250 strategists, insights consultants, developers, and data scientists. We work for a global client base out of offices in Toronto, Chicago, London, and Singapore.

Since we started in 2010, we’ve been focused on setting a new standard for the insights industry – challenging the traditional model and building for what comes next. That means hiring people who are bright, creative, resourceful, and kind. People who succeed at Dig are curious, question established norms and are passionate about helping our clients to move their businesses forward. If you want to join a team that takes themselves just seriously enough to produce great work, we’d love to welcome you.

As we continue to grow, both geographically and in our expertise, we are looking for people who want to join a high-growth and highly collaborative company.

Role Overview

The SVP, Client Partner is a senior individual-contributor commercial leader responsible for owning and growing revenue within a subset of Dig Insights' largest and most strategic growth accounts. You will develop and execute the account strategy, and be accountable for the overall commercial health, growth trajectory, and long-term partnership strategy for named accounts.

This role carries a bookings quota tied to both retention and expansion of assigned strategic accounts and is accountable for building durable, multi-year client partnerships that anchor Dig Insights' largest sources of recurring revenue.

Cross-functional collaboration is a critical component of this role. The SVP, Client Partner will leverage the vast amount of knowledge and expertise held by the people at Dig who have supported these accounts for many years, and build upon that intelligence to develop a winning growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Ownership & Executive Relationships
  • Serve as the senior commercial owner for a portfolio of Dig Insights' largest and most strategic growth accounts.
  • Understand the client’s growth strategy, and align Dig’s plan to measurable outcomes that support their growth.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels, with a particular emphasis on C-suite and senior executive stakeholders, globally.
  • Identify and cultivate new relationships, buying centers, and cross-functional sponsors within existing accounts through consistent stakeholder mapping.
  • Represent Dig Insights at the highest levels of the client relationship, including executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
  • Own the strategic account plan for each assigned account, setting the long-term growth vision and priorities.
  • Lead account strategy sessions with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment on executive relationship plans, growth priorities, and next steps.
  • Partner with Consulting and Dig One teams to align client needs with the right solution positioning.
  • Contribute to the refinement of account planning and executive engagement best practices across the commercial organization.
3. Opportunity Advancement & Sales Execution
  • Personally advance the largest and most complex opportunities through the sales cycle, including pricing strategy, proposal positioning, and contract negotiation.
  • Own executive-level pitch strategy and lead client-facing presentations for major opportunities.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes at the executive level.
4. Pipeline Management, Forecasting & Process Discipline
  • Accountable for accurate pipeline data in HubSpot for all assigned strategic accounts.
  • Provide reliable forecasting inputs and participate in pipeline reviews with commercial leadership.
  • Bring discipline and rigor to opportunity tracking and account plan execution.
  • Monitor progress against quota and proactively course-correct as needed.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Drive account strategy in true partnership with cross-functional colleagues, building on their expertise and contributions from key cross-functional partners:
  • Consulting leaders from Quant, Qual, and Future Strategy & Innovation
  • Dig One Growth and Customer Success partners

These partners bring critical account history, process knowledge, and relationships that built the current growth trajectory. Your role is to extend that foundation, and maximize those assets to get to the next level.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 15-20+ years of experience in client development, strategic account management, and executive-level consultative sales within market research, professional services, insights, or strategy environments.
  • Experience and credibility in product innovation process and consulting.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to lead executive-level conversations on growth strategy.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and growing revenue within large, complex enterprise accounts at the executive level.
  • Experience selling SaaS engagements.
  • Established experience building and sustaining C-suite and senior executive relationships.
  • Experience partnering closely with consulting or delivery teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong strategic account planning and stakeholder mapping capability at an enterprise scale.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple high-value, complex opportunities across long sales cycles.
  • Highly disciplined in CRM and pipeline management.
  • Commercially motivated, with a strong ownership mindset and executive presence.
  • Engenders trust with cross-functional partners, particularly in Consulting.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of the time to support executive client engagement, strategic account initiatives, and key internal collaboration moments.
  • A hybrid-remote work environment, where employees have the flexibility to work remotely or from one of our offices
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Reimbursement for health and wellness classes/memberships and continuous learning
  • RRSP / 401K employer matching program
  • Offices in Toronto and Chicago, located steps to public transportation in the downtown core
  • Regular social events such as charity poker nights, trivia events, team building days, and more!
