The Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) seeks a dynamic, strategic, and visionary executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO.) Among the nation's leading regional not-for-profit healthcare systems, HSHS is a mission-driven, Catholic nonprofit health care system headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, serving communities across Illinois and Wisconsin. HSHS operates 13 hospitals, numerous physician practices, outpatient centers, and community-based care sites, supported by more than 11,000 colleagues and over 1,000 physician partners.
The CMCO will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive enterprise-wide communications and brand strategy that advances HSHS's mission, strengthens its reputation, and deepens engagement with patients, employees, physicians, donors, and the communities it serves. This executive will join the organization at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Under the leadership of President and CEO, Damond Boatwright, HSHS has embarked on an ambitious strategic planning effort that is shaping the future of the organization. The next CMCO will play a critical role in translating this vision into compelling narratives, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and measurable brand impact.
This is an incredible opportunity for a leader who is system-minded and has demonstrated success in leading marketing and communication strategy for complex healthcare organizations. Competitive backgrounds will include at least three years of progressive, professional leadership experience. The successful CMCO will have a track record of creating and integrating a contemporary and comprehensive system branding strategy, incorporating digital technologies and methodologies, aligned with business goals.
The anticipated base salary mid-point for this position is $310,000. This position is also eligible for additional short and long-term incentive programs. Any referenced salary is commensurate with the candidate's skills, education, and relevant experience.
