Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8+ years in project management or systems engineering.
• Experience sustaining complex fielded technology systems and lifecycle support.
• Ability to brief senior leaders and translate technical issues for non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work in person in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainment planning and execution for the Tower portfolio within the USBP PMO.
• Manage sustainment across operations, maintenance, logistics, and lifecycle support.
• Apply systems engineering to assess performance and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with users, engineering, logistics, and vendors to maintain operability.
• Track metrics on availability, reliability, maintainability, and costs.
• Develop sustainment strategies, lifecycle plans, and acquisition documents.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for Government approval.
• Support configuration management and change control for all components.
• Evaluate obsolescence, cyber, and interoperability considerations across the portfolio.
• Coordinate site visits, assessments, and sustainment reviews with stakeholders.
• Assist budget formulation and resource planning for sustainment activities.
• Prepare briefings, status reports, and executive-level communications.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure action item follow-up.
• Ensure alignment with DHS/CBP/USBP policies and priorities.
