Job summary

Emerson seeks a Product Engineer to support maintenance and continuous improvement of existing product lines within our Professional Tools portfolio. You will help develop, qualify, and implement new features, design enhancements, and cost-reduction initiatives while collaborating with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and product management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Design and development of mechanical/electromechanical products.
• Hands-on with prototypes and test equipment.
• Proficiency with CAD: Solid Edge or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve field complaints and production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead sustaining engineering projects including redesigns, supplier changes, validation, and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement design/process improvements for quality, reliability, manufacturability, and performance.
• Plan and oversee product testing and validation to verify improvements and changes.
• Maintain engineering documentation in PLM and ERP systems.
• Review and approve part substitutions and production deviation requests.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and product management to implement engineering solutions.
