Pentair in Hanover Park, IL is seeking a Sustaining Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Commercial Water Filtration Sustaining Engineering team and drive portfolio optimization, design for manufacturability, and value-driven product improvements.

You will set priorities, coach talent, collaborate across functions, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective, scalable solutions while upholding Pentair leadership competencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 8–12+ years in mechanical engineering, design, and analysis.
• Experience with mass production design and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, and quality to meet goals.
• Lead engineering change notices (ECN/ECR) and related processes.
• Drive DFMEA sessions and develop test plans and reports.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage correlations with vendors for manufacturing analysis.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively at technical and executive levels.
