Omega Medical Imaging — Sanford, FL
Omega Medical Imaging is seeking a Sustaining / Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to provide hands‑on engineering support for the production and continued improvement of our medical imaging systems. This role will work directly with the production floor to resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues, improve manufacturability, maintain released designs, develop tooling and fixtures, create work instructions and keep products moving efficiently through manufacturing.
The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with excellent SolidWorks proficiency who is equally comfortable at a CAD workstation and on the production floor. The role will also support shorter‑term redesigns and product improvements involving surgical tables, C‐arms, motion systems, structural assemblies, and related electromechanical components.
We are looking for a curious, practical engineer who enjoys solving real hardware and manufacturing problems. This person should be equally comfortable working in SolidWorks, standing beside an assembler on the production floor, and digging into a problem until fully resolved.
The right candidate understands that good engineering is not finished when the drawing is released. The design must be manufacturable, testable, serviceable, reliable, and properly documented. This role is a good fit for an engineer who likes owning the details that keep a complex product line running while also contributing to product improvements and redesigns.
Omega Medical Imaging, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and Drug‑Free Workplace (DFW).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
