Omega Medical Imaging, LLC in Sanford, FL, is seeking a CNC Machinist to support the precision machining of components used in medical imaging systems. The role includes mechanical assembly support and strict adherence to quality and tolerance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks and CAMWorks preferred).
• Working knowledge of G-code programming.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining: milling and lathe operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNC machining operations including milling and turning.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes.
• Assist with final mechanical assembly of components and products.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Paint, and Stockroom teams to improve processes and productivity.
• Maintain machinery and ensure safe, proper operation at all times.
• Keep maintenance and safety logs up to date.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and chemicals.
• Provide status updates on in‑process work to supervisors.

• 1-3 years of machining experience
• Familiarity with FDA GMP/QSR and ISO 13485 standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Technical certification or machining‑related training preferred
• Ability to lift and move components and materials as required (typically up to 50 lbs.)

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a production environment that may include noise, equipment, and occasional chemical involvement. Work is performed in an air‑conditioned facility with required safety and regulatory compliance.
